World’s First 3D Printed Apartment Building

Yes, you read that title correctly. An entire apartment building has been constructed using 3D printing. Why the qualifier of “apartment building?” Well – because there have been a few other buildings constructed using 3D printing already.

Chinese company WinSun has announced that they’ve constructed an entire apartment building using a 3D printer that stands 6.6 meters high and 10 meters wide. The individual segments of the building are separately constructed and then put together on-site, with insulation and steel reinforcements added to meet building codes, to form a building complete with decorative elements inside and out.
