Skilled Trade Jobs Are The Toughest To Fill

According to a recent survey by the human resources firm Manpower, positions in “Skilled Trades” – which includes manufacturing and construction – are the hardest to fill… for the fifth consecutive year!

This information coincides with recent reports that the manufacturing industry is having trouble closing its skills gap, and that there are far more available positions than there are qualified applicants.

If you’re interested in a career in a skilled trade, specifically in the manufacturing or shipbuilding sectors, then SAMI (Shipbuilding/Marine Trades and Advanced Manufacturing Institute) at New England Tech, may be the right fit for you! SAMI is dedicated to working with unemployed Rhode Island residents to provide them with the training and assessments needed to make them desired applicants in the shipbuilding and manufacturing industries.
