SAMI graduates, Adalis Reinosa-Perez and Soprath Ket, “on-the-job” at Groov-Pin Corp. in Smithfield, RI

Both Adalis and Soprath completed the SAMI Machine Training Program in March, 2016 and stared working at Groove-Pin in April, 2016.  Cynthia Toti, SAMI Case Manager, found both Adalis and Soprath happy and hard at work on a recent employer visit.   Susan Smith, Executive Assistant/Human Resources, indicated that both employees are doing very well.  Adalis and Soprath are two of six employees that Groov-Pin has hired from the SAMI Machine Training Program.

Groov-Pin was founded in 1926 to develop the potential for a patented press-fit fastener called a grooved pin. Groov-Pin is a leader in engineered fasteners and components for connection and control and has been supplying U.S. manufacturers for almost 90 years.  Groov-Pin’s line of solid pin fasteners find application in a wide range of industries with Automotive manufacturers like BMW to Aerospace in Boeing’s new Dreamliner, along with electronics, energy, defense, and dental industries.
