15 SAMI graduates are celebrated on October 12, 2016 by Governor Gina Raimondo, Department of Labor and Training Director, Scott Jensen; as well as, SAMI staff, family members and representatives of the nine employers who hired SAMI graduates including Electric Boat, Greystone, Guill Tool and Engineering, Goodwin-Bradley Performance Products, Mahr Federal, Porter Machine, RI Carbide, Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, VIBCO and Wardwell Braiding Company

Todays Lesson: Threading on a manual lathe

SAMI Machine participants learn the skill of threading on a manual lathe.  Since 2014, the Machine Program has trained over 100 unemployed Rhode Islanders to become skilled entry level Machinists and connected them to employment in the manufacturing industry. Click for more info!
